He did a great job. He went
around town passing out flyers and really got the word out. He went to local
businesses and got door prizes to give away, too. He put an article in the
newspaper and got donations for cash prizes for the bikes. He consulted with a
guy who leads a local Christian biker group about how to actually run the thing,
since we're kind of clueless about bikes. I was starting to worry that no one would come. I dreamed a couple of nights ago that no one showed up. Even an hour before the show, we were starting to wonder. I looked at all the food we had donated and thought we had way too much.
Then the bikes started rolling in. I was completely in shock how many bikes showed up. I was worried that we'd have enough bikes to fill the categories, but we had between 30 and 40 bikes show up. I think around 32 actually registered, but some came in later on and didn't sign up. It was so beautiful, all those shining bikes. We still had some leftover food, but not too much. The concert was wonderful and everyone enjoyed it. It was exciting to be a part of it, and I'm so thankful to God for bringing people in.
