July 6, 2010--Stars Crowning

Today Joy and Sarah were crowned Honor Stars in the Missionette's program. They've worked so hard to meet all the requirements, which included reading the entire New Testament, memorizing 27 verses (one for each unit they had to complete), memorizing the statement of faith, writing an essay on integrity, keeping a prayer journal, and more. Joy was actually almost finished last year, but the church they've been working with doesn't have the Honor Star program, so they've had to finish it up on their own. She finished it up this last year and Sarah finished in the three years it usually takes. I told them if they did all the requirements, I'd do whatever it took to get them up to the crowning ceremony at the District Level.

I just wanted to share one picture of the girls in their white dresses and crowns. Out of the 40-some girls that were being crowned, I thought my girls were the prettiest. I am so proud of them.
