Yesterday was my 31st birthday. Erick and the kids bought me 30 tealight candles
and one large candle (31 candles altogether) and some age defying body wash.
Since I was caught up on my
schoolwork for the week, I decided to read a novel, and spent most of my day
doing that. Then I fixed a special birthday dinner--grilled steaks, asparagus,
baked potatoes with all the toppings, fresh-brewed peach tea, and cherry
cheesecake. I also put hot fudge on top of the cherry cheesecake, and it was
really good! My grilling turned out very well, too. Erick said I'm going to put
him out of a job.
Then our friends watched the kids and we went to this
little movie theatre that's in terrible shape, but they have cheap movies. We
saw "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs" and really enjoyed it. Then we went up
to Maynard's and bought all the trim we needed for upstairs (nearly $700 worth!)
and then went to Walmart so I could pick out my birthday present. I chose
lavender flannel Tinkerbell pajamas.
So that was my birthday! It was a
really nice one.
