December 25, 2005--Christmas Day

Merry Christmas everybody!

The kids woke up the first time at 12:51 am. I told them to go back to bed.

The kids woke up the second time at 4:15 am. I told them to go back to bed.

The kids woke up the third time at 5:30 am. I got up and took a shower, and then woke up Erick who had gotten back from work at 3:00 am and was still tired, and we got up and opened all the presents.

Jay got a neat remote control flying UFO. They all got neat things, but I think out of all the things we got this year, his was the neatest. I saw it in the mall when I was buying Erick's Colts hat and knew it was perfect. He's been flying it all over the house. Joy has a bead set and just showed me a bracelet she made. It looks nice. She's good at crafts.

I told Erick we should have just shopped the preschool section for all the kids, because they all loved Timothy's and Rachel's toys. Timothy has a ball popper and they all think that's really something. He also got a little tractor with farm animals that sings "Old McDonald Had a Farm." Everytime Timothy hears it play he dances and clicks his tongue. He does that with any kind of music. It's so cute. All the rest of the kids like to copy him, so tongue-clicking is part of dancing in our house now.

Rachel loves her pink horse. She knew it was a horse, but the kids kept telling her it was a turkey. When she opened it up, she said, "My turkey!"

Sarah got a Barbie kitchen set that she really wanted. Abby got a Leap Pad. Erick got mostly clothes. I got some jewelry and some pajamas and some clothes and a set of plastic glasses.

It's been a good Christmas so far. And it's not even 8:30 yet! Erick's back in bed for awhile. At least he gets tonight off.
