Feb 12, 2004--Pinewood derby

Joy got a first place trophy in the race last night! She actually placed second in her heat, but she got to race in the championship heat because there were only five in her class.
Jay placed first in his first heat, and the championship he was third in his heat but didn't get a trophy because he was racing against about 2 dozen kids from his class. There are a LOT of boys in that age group in our church.
I felt bad for him not getting a trophy, but he did really well and we were proud of him. So he's learning to lose well and Joy is learning to win well.
Go Jay and Joy! We are so proud of you!
