A year or two ago, Jay wanted a Bible so I gave him a
paperback KJV New Testament that we had hanging around with the promise that if
he took care of it I'd get him a better one. He couldn't read at the time
anyway, so I figured it would be good practice taking care of a Bible. When he
learns to read and to take care of a Bible, I'll get him one that's easier to
understand, I figured. He lost it, of course.
He recently found it, and now
that he can read, he of course has been reading it. He's been reading out loud,
too. He read me a lengthy passage and then said, "I don't know what that meant,
but I know it was important!
