November 15, 2007--Time marches on...

We're finally getting down to the point where Erick is ready to start looking for a position. We've spent the last couple of weeks getting his resume ready to send to the district. Once they have that on file, they will help match us with a church, and also send us a list of churches that are open that we can directly apply to. We could find a church very quickly, or it could take awhile. More than anything I just want to be where God wants us to be. Sometimes it doesn't seem like it's real, like we're actually to this point. This process has taken so long. It's hard to even know how to feel. I guess once we know where we go from here it will be easier to figure that out. Today he's getting some pictures printed out off our digital camera to send in with the resume. Everything else is done--the cover letter, the references, everything. We called one of his old professors yesterday to see if he would be a reference for us. He's actually now the senior pastor of the church we used to attend while we lived in Missouri. All the staff has switched over from when we used to be members. It's kind of funny--sometimes I tend to think that everything just should stay the same, that we should be able to go back and visit and find things just the way we left them. Things don't stay the same, though, they are always changing.
