October 13, 2007--Argh! Stupid forwards!

I got another forward this morning in my e-mail. It went something like this: "If you really, really love God, and you aren't ashamed of him, send this forward to all of your family and friends. Don't be ashamed of Him, because He wasn't ashamed of you. If you think you dont' have time to read this stupid forward then what you are really saying is you don't have time for God. You should feel convicted, you lousy, hypocrital Christian, for thinking this is silly." Of course, you had to scroll down, waaay down just to read a line at a time. And of course, there was a warning against deleting it, and a blessing for those who passeed it on to everyone in their address book. You know what I'd like? I'd like it if the people who send me forwards regularly would just write me an actual, personal letter. I would enjoy hearing from them, and a brief note would mean so much more to me than a forward.
