August 24, 2008--Progress
We had a nice weekend--Erick's sisters came down to visit again.
We moved school from Friday to Saturday afternoon so we could do
something fun on Friday with everyone, and we went bowling. The youngest
three used the bumpers in their lanes, and they had the highest scores.
Rachel and Abby tied, and Timothy had the second highest score. Of the
rest of us that didn't have bumpers, Erick had the highest score, but I
was the only player that got a strike, so I didn't feel too bad.
The big news is that our church got Power Point.
We don't have it all set up yet, so we'll be using the projector this
week, but we are now in the 21st Century. Yes, Shiloh is on the cutting
edge now. We saw some of the former pastors in Walmart that were here
for eighteen years, and they said that Shiloh has always been on the
cutting edge--when they were there, they were the first church in town
to use cassette tapes! Now we're the first church in town to have Power
Point. We just have to get the cables and everything and get things all
hooked up. We could cobble things up and do a half-way job on it for
this morning, but we decided we'd rather it make its debut all finished
and ready to go.
