October 8, 2008--Puppies!

Caramel had her puppies! (I guess I didn't even mention here that she was pregnant, did I? That's probably why someone dropped her off. It wasn't long after we arrived that we figured it out.)

She's had five, I think, and I'm not sure if she's done yet. We're going to try and build her a doghouse this morning. She's been sleeping out behind the grill, but she chose a little, cramped spot under the deck to have her puppies. We want to make her a place she can keep them warm and dry.

So far there's at least one brown one that looks just like her, two black ones, and two white ones with brown spots. They are so adorable! We won't be able to keep them all, but at least we can keep them until they are old enough to give away.
