August 8, 2004--Meeting another family from Crosswalk
I got to meet a Crosswalk family yesterday. Thisistheday came out with her family. Such a neat family! It's so neat to put faces with names. She has such a dimple when she smiles! I've always wished I had dimples.
They followed us to Bass Pro Shops and her husband did a great job at following us. Usually when someone tries to follow Erick they can't seem to keep up, but he stuck like glue.
At Bass Pro Shops, Sarah fell into a little creek. It was only a few inches deep, but it scared her a bit. That's the only time I've ever had any of my kids fall in the water there. At least she fell in the shallow part.
We were planning on going to the park for a picnic, but it was a gorgeous day and everyone got there before we did. We went back to my house and had our sandwiches and Erick started the grill and we roasted marshmallows and made S'mores out on the deck.
She has such a pretty baby. It's not very often I see a baby that pretty. She had such a cute smile, too. Her boy and my boy are about the same size and only a year apart, and they had great fun and found plenty of comadarie in being the only boys in so many girls. Her other daughters were sweet, too, and so funny, especially the teenage girl who told us jokes and couldn't remember the punchlines. I asked Dee if she would sell her (I could really use a teenager!) and she was all willing but her daughter didn't care for the idea, so I have to wait until my own are teens I guess.
