December 1, 2005--Thoughts

My husband talked to our pastor from Indiana on the phone today. They talked for a long time about what Erick should do after school, etc., Pastor Brent would love for Erick to come back and serve with him, but finances are tight and they don't know if they could hire on anyone right now. He told him that if Erick would be willing to do it as a volunteer for awhile, he would be willing to take him under his wing and give him the ministry experience he is lacking. Erick is very excited about this. He wants to serve under Pastor Brent more than he wants to serve under anyone else. It's been his hearts desire for a long time. Even if he does it for free, it would be worth it to him because he admires him so much. He believes that Pastor Brent has a lot to teach him. It doesn't bother him that he may have to work another job for awhile longer yet. I'm excited, too. I want to be back at that church. I just love the atmosphere, there. Who knows, maybe in a couple of years the money will be there for Erick to go on staff full time or even part time there. It's just a blessing to be asked to come back and work with him there.
