June 8, 2007--Crosswalk friends

Yesterday I got to meet another Crosswalker--Ladioffaith. She was on her way to the Singles Get-Together and decided to make a detour so she could stop by here. She's a real neat lady. We had a lot of fun talking and getting to know each other better. The kids really liked her, too. Rachel latched on to her like...well, like she does with just about everyone. Rachel's a really friendly little girl. She tends to overwhelm people at times. Ladioffaith stayed for dinner, and then after dinner we had to leave for a poultry workshop for Jay for 4-H. It was pretty interesting. My dad is stuck in California. He went to a pastor's conference out there. My mom was supposed to have gone to pick him up in Chicago yesterday, but his flight was cancelled due to weather. He also got an infection in a cracked filling while he was out there and was in pain. My mom got the dentist to prescribe and antibiotic at least, so it was starting to feel better finally yesterday, but this hasn't been his week. I'm making a quilt for another lady here on Crosswalk. It's the wailing wall of Jerusalem, and it is turning out so well! I think she's going to be very pleased with it.
