September 4, 2007--Labor Day

We had a lovely Labor Day yesterday. Erick had to open, so he wasn't able to come to the first cook-out, but he was off in time to go the second one. The first one was at his side of the family's house. His mom told me that his 18-year old brother was bringing a guest. I asked if it was a female guest, and she said yes. I had a guess at who it might be, and I was right. She's the sister of my sister-in-law. Kayla, the girl who just married my brother Chris, has a sister named Kelsi. If Kelsi marries Ericks's brother Ben, then Kayla will be able to say that her husband's sister's husband's brother's wife is her sister. It seems pretty serious, too! Ben's already asked her dad if he could court her, and with these brothers that's as much as asking for her hand in marriage. I bet they'll be married by the end of the year. Oh, and I also found out that both of these sisters post here sometimes! So maybe I'll find them on here eventually. (ETA--I found Kelsi--actually she found me to let me know I spelled her name wrong which is why I came back here to fix it--and her handle here is Loud-N-Proud.) So then we went to my parents' house for the second cook-out and Ben and Kelsi were the topic of conversation all evening. I even dreamed about them last night! I dreamed they got married and moved in with us! I also dreamed I had this revelation that if you take the "MY" off the end of the word "Mommy" and put it at the beginning, it spells "My Mom".
