Last night we had tornado warnings and watches in our areas.
All the bad storms went South of us. I don't know if there were any actual
tornados or not, but we could see how nasty it was to the South.
It's
strange how my husband and I have almost seemed to switch personalities when it
comes to storms. I remember a few years ago in the trailer when I'd be sound
asleep and he'd wake us all up and make us trudge through the rain to get to his
grandma's house, since she had a basement and a T.V. I'd resent having my sleep
disturbed. Whe cares if the wind is blowing at 70 miles an hour?
It was his
job to keep watch over us, and my job to sleep peacefully and let him take care
of me.
Last night I was the one up late, watching the weather, checking out
the TV, and staying on the internet watching the red and orange spots move
across the weather map. He needs his sleep because he works third shift. He only
stayed up until it seemed clear that the storms weren't coming our way and then
went to bed. I tucked the kids in and then stayed up until the warning had
expired. It wasn't too bad. After all, I had Crosswalk to keep me company.
