The couple that put the offer on our house couldn't get the financing, so our
house is still on the market. It's day 12 of our house being for sale, and we've
had seven showings so far. Our latest was an impromptu showing yesterday. We'd
just had a showing 45 minutes earlier, so the house was still looking really
nice, and we were installing some doors that we had taken down to paint, and the
doorbell rang. It was a young Asian man, and he said he had seen the sign in our
yard and asked if he could look around. I didn't know why not, so I let him in
and showed him around. He asked how much the house was, and looked it over, and
he asked how soon we could move out. I told him we were moving at the end of
May. He then asked who he needed to call if he wanted to buy the house, and I
told him to call the number on the sign. So he wrote down the number (which was
bent over backwards because of the wind) and left. I thought that was kind of
odd.
The wind was so strong last night, it blew open our front storm
door and bent the hinges and even tore part of the frame. It's going to have to
be replaced.
