March 29, 2004--Even more e-mails from the kids

Dear Susie,

I don't believe in the Easter Bunny either. We celebrate Passover too. And we break a cracker in half and hide one and try to find it. And we don't have that much stuffed animals. My favorite holiday is Christmas, but today I just got a brand new toy. You probably won't know what it is. And you can see it when we visit you sometime in May. When we come to visit you. Hey Susie, I have a riddle for you. What goes up and down at the same time? The answer is, a mouth. When your mouth opens, the top goes up and the bottom goes down. When you close it, the bottom goes up, and the top goes down. Hahahahahahahahahaha, heeheeheeheeheeheehee.
Bye bye.

Love, Jay

Hey, Jay, I just read this, and I think you should re-think your joke. Your mom knows better. When we learned from somebody how to do puppets, we found out that really, only the bottom jaw moves when you talk. Try it! The only time the top part goes up is if you have your bottom jaw on your hand or something. Then your whole head has to move to let you talk. So when you do puppets, you have to just move your thumb and keep the rest still. Think you can do that?

Well, the answer to that riddle was actually a see-saw. I just wanted to make my own riddle. Hey, I have another riddle. What is the only kind of coat that you can put on wet? But this one you have to figure out yourself. If you haven't figured it out until May, I'll tell you then. And just tell me if you haven't figured it out. In May. And I have a new friend. I don't know his name but I know his brother's name. His brother's name is Kyle. And my room changed with the girls. I got a new hat on Friday. We're done with studying all the months in KONOS. You know that I'm seven. But when Sarah wrote this one, the one that you got from Sarah, we're not going to go to church because we were gone all day. We went to church in the morning and then we went shopping and then we went to Authority's house and then we were going home but just the time we got home it would be time for church to start. And that's why we just stayed home. Bye.

Love, Jay

Paint?

Okay, but why did you just write "paint"? I think you guessed it, but why didn't write "a coat of paint"?

It would make my letter too long?
