May 25, 2008--Poor Timothy

Timothy got his tooth knocked out today. It was during Sunday School, and his class meets downstairs and has a cement floor. He fell out of the back of the chair, slid out under the headrest, and tipped his chair back and he caught his mouth on the edge of the seat as he went down. It came out completely, with the entire root. It was so long. It had to have hurt, poor thing, although he didn't cry as much as I probably would have if I were him. He sucked on an ice pack through the rest of church.

We had a Memorial Day picnic afterwards, and two of Erick's sisters had come down for the weekend so they got to go too for part of it. It was a nice picnic, although Sarah got a fish hook in her arm and Rachel cut her foot. It's been one of those days.

On the fun side, we played Corn Hole. I'd never heard of that game. It's kind of like a cross between a bean bag toss and horseshoes. We played a full game--Sarah and me against Erick and one of the teenage boys, and Sarah and I won. That was fun.

Now we're all home, dirty and tired and stuffed full of food. Timothy got soap in his eyes and he's mad at me for washing them out and even more mad at me for taking him out of the tub when he felt he wasn't ready to get out. I think I want to go to bed early tonight.
