We spent most of the day gardening. Erick tilled up a HUGE garden next door across the street from the church. They own a piece of land there next to a gravel parking lot, with a woods behind it and a field next to it. The field is all blooming with bright yellow flowers. It's not a crop (at least I don't think it is!) but it sure is pretty. No one has tilled or planted the field, and the stalks from last year's corn are still in the ground in between the flowers. The contrast of the yellow flowers and the green trees and the blue sky is so pretty. I need to get a picture one of these days.
We put out a ton of beans, sweet corn, and other vegetables. The only thing we'd already had in the garden was tomatoes and some peppers. It had been so wet that we couldn't get anything in the ground. Hopefully it's not too late to garden.
We grilled steaks for us and hot dogs for the kids for supper, and wrapped sweet corn in foil and put it on the grill too. That's gourmet, in my opinion. Beats Outback Steakhouse anytime! Mmmm!

We went to Jay's game and Erick and I bought a special treat to celebrate our anniversary--big soft pretzels with nacho cheese.
