The first one is a picture of me at the age of nine wearing a new coat I got for my birthday (I think!)
The second one is a picture of me at about the age of fourteen. I got a free Walmart portrait done because I had filled out a comment card from the last family picture we'd had taken, and commented that I was unhappy with the portraits. It wasn't Walmart's fault--I didn't like the way I looked at fourteen. As a side note, the shirt I am wearing in this picture is the same shirt I was wearing when I had my very first conversation with Erick. It was about how spicy chips made us sweat. The shirt had little tiny mallard ducks all over it.
This third picture is Erick's and mine engagement picture. I was sixteen in this picture, and Erick was seventeen. It was taken at his house in front of the piano draped with a cloth as a backdrop.
This is our wedding picture. I was seventeen when we got married. We married a year to the day from our engagment. It was a beautiful outdoor wedding. My dress was a yard sale find for $30. I loved that veil. We still have the dress and veil, but a mouse chewed a hole in it many years ago and so the kids play dress-up with them now.
